Mama Bear teaches college English in Chicago, and lives in a high rise condominium downtown in that city with her husband and her very devoted dog, Jack. Her children are all grown and have flown the nest, which is a good thing since she has filled all the extra condo space with books and craft supplies!

Mama Bear, aka Beth Jacobs, has been involved with crafts for a number of years and works in needlepoint and plastic canvas as well as beading. She formerly had a job in which she advised businesswomen on wardrobes and took them on shopping expeditions to select clothes. Her special love in beading is the design and creation of necklaces and earrings that will make perfect accessories for just the right suit, dress, or business casual outfit and so complete a great look.
